Our next practices are on Tuesday 9th May and Tuesday 23rd May.

Spring In Our Step

[Ewe and lambs]

Spring has arrived and this marks the start of traditional events of all sorts. We are pleased to have been invited to a couple of these this year.

First up is the English Festival at Rainham which is a celebration of England and its customs. This is on Saturday 22nd April and, with so many varied attractions, promises to be a great occasion.

Next on the list is the Offham May Day celebrations on Saturday 29th April. This includes the May Queen’s procession and crowning, with Kettle Bridge Clogs leading the parade. These traditional village events are always good fun.

Finally, don’t forget our own official start of the dancing season when we process over the Kettle Bridge in Barming.

We do hope that you can make it to one of these events to see us perform. Refer to our programme page for more details.

We held our annual Kettle Bridge Clogs Quiz on 1st April and it proved to be a successful and fun evening.

About 80 people (and a dog!) filled the St. Nicholas Church Hall in Allington to pit their wits against the quizmasters. As well as the opportunity to recall all that useless trivia that we all accumulate over the years, there was an excellent raffle and a "lucky card" game.

After a hard fought competition, the winners were announced and congratulations went to Eva and Trevor’s team for coming out on top. However, it was not just about winning and it looked like everyone had a great time however many questions they got right.

Be sure to look out for news of next year’s quiz. You are guaranteed an enjoyable evening.
