Our final dance-out of the summer was at The Good Intent in West Farleigh with Headcorn Morris.

The weather had been quite unsettled with storms finally breaking the lovely heatwave that we had been enjoying. Thankfully, by the time that the evening arrived, the weather had improved and we were once again bathed in sunshine.

There were a couple of very familiar faces amongst the Headcorn dancers and it was great to meet up again with Barbara and Margaret, both of whom used to dance for many years with Kettle Bridge. There was lots to catch up on but it was soon time to start the dancing.

Headcorn have both a ladies' section and a men's side so Kettle Bridge had to dance only 1 in 3 dances. This gave us plenty of time to recover between performances and to enjoy the balmy evening. Even so, we managed to squeeze in 5 dances, namely Aughton 8, Marston 6, Sidcot, Annie's and Shawforth, before leading everyone in an all-in Churchtown, which went down very well.

With the light fading fast, we all retreated into the pub where there was music, beer and sausage rolls to enjoy! A great way to end a delightful evening.

Thanks go to Headcorn for providing such wonderful company and to The Good Intent for their excellent hospitality.
